The first hole is a great opening long par 4, which allows you to really open the shoulders and hit a ‘BOMB’. There are two fairway bunkers positioned to catch stray drives however both are shallow enough to get a good second shot towards the green. An accurate approach shot must navigate between two greenside bunkers that stand on guard protecting the front of the green. The first green slopes primarily from back to front so, leaving yourself beneath the hole will result in an easier uphill putt. Achieving a par 4 on the first hole is a good result.
