Groups, societies & corporate

One call, and the whole day looks after itself

Society and corporate days at The Hertsmere run seven days a week from £58 per person. You are the one organising it, so you are the one it lands on if it goes wrong, and we take that off you: a round over the Donald Steel parkland, breakfast before you tee off, a drinks buggy out on the course, and a meal at Script when you walk off the 18th. You make one call. Your group thinks you are a genius.

The complete golf day

A full day out, just inside the M25, without the gatekeeping

Here is the bit that keeps organisers up at night: the handicaps are all over the place, half the group has not played since last year, and you have promised everyone a good day. Bring twelve or more and we sort it. One tee-off time, buggies and trolleys waiting, Nearest-the-Pin and Longest-Drive markers already out on the course. You do not have to be a single-figure golfer for it to be a good day at The Hertsmere.

There is no waiting on directions or a second venue for lunch. The course, the 26-bay Toptracer range and Script all sit on one site at Elstree, with 250-plus free parking spaces. Your group parks once, plays, eats, and goes home. Pick a midweek date or a weekend, whichever suits the diaries.

What you can include

Build the day your way

No two groups want the same thing. Pick what fits yours, and leave the rest to us.

A full English breakfast with toast at Script Restaurant & Bar
  • Eighteen holes of parkland

A full round over the Donald Steel par-72 course, 180 acres of mature parkland just inside the M25.

  • Buggies and trolleys

GPS buggies and electric or push trolleys, hired separately as an add-on, so the ones who want to ride can.

  • Breakfast before the off

A full English, or a bacon bap with a tea or coffee, so nobody tees off on an empty stomach.

  • The drinks buggy

It comes round and finds you on the course, so a cold drink or a hot one is never more than a few holes away.

  • Prizes and a bit of needle

Nearest-the-Pin and Longest-Drive markers come as standard. Tell us if you want prizes and we will sort them.

  • A meal at Script

Ham, egg and chips and a dessert at Script when you come off, on the balcony over the course if the weather plays ball.

Spaces & add-ons

Room for the whole group, however big

A private dinner at Script, or a full day on the course with the range warmed up first. Pick the pieces you want and we build the day around them.

Exact capacities are confirmed when you enquire, around your numbers and layout.

How the day runs

A typical society day

So you can picture it before you book. These are guide times. We shape the whole thing around your tee-off slot, so all you do is tell your group when to turn up.

  1. 09:00

    Arrival and breakfast

They park once and walk into breakfast at Script. You are not running the registration desk. We are.

  2. 10:00

    Warm up

Loosen up on the practice putting greens, or hit a few balls on the 26-bay Toptracer range.

  3. 10:30

    Tee off

Out they go for eighteen holes, markers already in place on the course.

  4. 13:00

    The drinks buggy

It comes round mid-round so nobody has to wait until the turn for a drink.

  5. 15:30

    A meal at Script

Back in for a meal on the balcony over the course, timed to land as they come off.

  6. 16:30

    Prizes and a pint

Hand out Nearest-the-Pin and Longest-Drive, settle the bets at the bar, and that is the day.

A cut above the rest.

Make it yours

We will put your name on it

It is your day, so it should look like it. We stand welcome signage at the main door and put your branding out on the course, at the first tee, on the nearest-the-pin markers, wherever you want it seen.

Bring a banner or a set of flags and we will site them. Send us a logo and we will handle the print. Your group turns up to a day that has their name on it, and you did not have to lift a finger.

Eat well after golf

Finish the day at Script Restaurant & Bar

What your group remembers is the food and the bar at the end, not who won. Script does modern British cooking, with a balcony over the course, and it is open to anyone, not only golfers.

We set the menu and the timings with you in advance, so the meal lands just as the last group walks off the 18th and nobody is left waiting at the bar wondering when they eat.
